Stop Posting Into the Void.
Start With a Strategy.
Posting Without a Strategy Is Just Expensive Guesswork
The High Street Foundation is a one-off strategy session that gives your social media a clear direction — so every post you publish (or we publish for you) actually works.
If you have ever spent time writing a caption, choosing a photo, and hitting publish — only to get a handful of likes and no discernible increase in footfall — you already know the problem.
It is not that social media does not work for shops like yours. It is that it does not work without a clear foundation underneath it.
Without knowing exactly who you are talking to, what makes your shop worth visiting over every alternative, and what kind of content builds trust with your specific local audience, you are essentially shouting into a crowded room and hoping the right person hears you.
Most small business social media advice tells you to post more. Post consistently. Use hashtags. None of that matters if you have not answered the more fundamental questions first: who is your ideal customer, why should they choose you, and what does your brand actually stand for?
That is what the Foundation answers.
WHAT WE DEFINE TOGETHER
What We Cover in Your Foundation Session
The High Street Foundation is a focused, collaborative session. We work through five areas together to build a strategy that is genuinely yours — not a template, not a generic framework, but a clear picture of your shop, your customers, and your content.
-
We get specific about who your ideal customer actually is. Not just "women aged 25–55" — but the real person, their habits, what they care about, and what makes them choose an independent shop over ordering online.
-
How should your shop sound? Warm and personal? Bold and confident? Quiet and considered? We define a voice that feels authentically like you and positions you clearly against the competition.
-
What do you offer that nobody else does? We identify your genuine points of difference and turn them into language your customers will respond to.
-
We define the themes and topics your content should cover, and establish the visual direction that makes your posts instantly recognisable — even before someone notices the name.
-
What do you want people to do after they see your posts? Visit the shop? Sign up to something? Share a post? We map the steps from social media scroll to your till, and build calls to action that actually move people.
How It Works
Unlike generic social media templates, The High Street Foundation starts where it should — inside your shop.
-
Once you've booked, I send you a detailed 18-page questionnaire to complete before we meet. The more carefully you fill it in, the sharper your strategy will be.
-
I come to you. I look around your shop, meet you properly, and we go through your questionnaire together on your premises. This is what makes everything that follows genuinely bespoke.
-
Using everything I've seen and heard, I develop a social media strategy built specifically around your shop, your customers, and your goals.
-
You receive a Brand and Content Playbook as a PDF — a clean, practical roadmap covering your messaging, content direction, and what to post and when.
-
We go through the Playbook line by line, so you leave the call with full clarity and confidence.
From there, you choose your own path: take the Playbook and run your social media yourself with a proper strategy behind you, or transition into one of our ongoing 3, 6, or 12-month managed programmes.
Because every Foundation begins with a personal visit to your shop, I take on a maximum of four new clients each month. If you are ready to get started, it is worth booking sooner rather than later.
Your Brand and Content Playbook
At the end of the Foundation process, you receive a written Brand and Content Playbook. This is your social media rulebook — everything in one document, ready to hand to a team member, an assistant, or us.
Your Playbook includes:
A clear description of your ideal customer
Your defined brand voice and tone guidelines
Your core USPs and how to communicate them
Your content pillars with example post ideas for each
Your visual identity direction (colours, mood, photographic style)
Your customer journey map and recommended CTAs
It is a document you will use long after your Foundation session is complete.
Not quite ready? Join the Interest List.
Spots for this month are taken — but you can add your name to the Interest List and I will be in touch as soon as a place becomes available. I keep the list short and move through it in order.
Why Every Monthly Client Starts Here
We do not take on monthly management clients without the Foundation in place. That is not a sales tactic — it is how we ensure the work we do for you is actually effective.
Without a clear strategy, even the most consistent social media presence can miss the mark. We could post beautifully every day, but if the message is wrong, the audience is wrong, or the content does not reflect what makes your shop special, it will not drive the footfall and loyalty you are looking for.
The Foundation means that when we start managing your accounts, every post has a purpose. Every caption reflects your voice. Every piece of content is pulling in the right direction.
It is the difference between social media that looks busy and social media that actually works.
Think of it as an investment in making everything that comes after more effective — including your own efforts if you decide to manage content yourself.
Ready to Build Something That Works?
The High Street Foundation is available as a standalone service. Book your session and we will be in touch to arrange a time that suits you.
If you are interested in ongoing monthly management, the Foundation is your first step. Many clients continue to the monthly packages straight away — others simply take the Playbook and use it themselves. Either way, you leave with a strategy that is built for your shop.
-
The High Street Foundation is a one-off brand and content strategy package designed for high street businesses that want to get their social media right from the start. It covers brand positioning, tone of voice, platform strategy, and a content framework — everything a retailer or independent business needs before starting to post consistently.
-
A social media strategy for a small business in the UK typically ranges from a few hundred pounds to several thousand, depending on what is included. The High Street Foundation is a focused, one-off package priced specifically for independent high street businesses, giving them a clear, actionable plan without paying for agency overhead they do not need.
-
A solid social media strategy for a high street business should include a clear brand identity and tone of voice, an understanding of the ideal local customer, which platforms to prioritise, a content framework that maps to business goals like footfall and seasonal events, and guidance on posting frequency. The High Street Foundation covers all of these as a structured, deliverable output.
-
The High Street Foundation is a one-off package — there is no ongoing commitment. It is designed for businesses that want to invest in getting their foundations right before moving into ongoing management or handling their own content. Many clients go on to take up a monthly management package afterwards, but that is entirely optional.
-
It is suited to any high street business that is either starting out on social media, has been posting inconsistently without a clear strategy, or is unsure what to say and where to say it. It is particularly valuable for new business owners who want to do things properly from day one, and for established retailers who have been winging it and want a more structured approach.
